Water Damage in Summerlin

This Summerlin home had water come into their garage because of flooding. The water came under the garage door flooding the area. This was a nice garage. It was finished, painted, and even carpeted with an industrial carpet. However, flood water can carry bacteria and other contaminates that can cause harm if left to dry on its own. Therefore our technicians removed the contaminated drywall and its insulation. Flood cuts are made 12 inches from the flood line. The carpet was then removed as it was also contaminated. The area was disinfected and dried out to IICRC Standards. Concrete takes a while to dry but having the carpet up speeds up the process too.
